James Wells writes about the intersection of humans and the natural world. He is a regular contributor to the Daily Kos web site, posting on topics of environment, climate and how to best communicate with our fellow humans.
A life-long caver, he has explored and mapped new passages in many of North America’s great caves. He misspent his youth leading dozens of expeditions deep into Mammoth Cave, the longest cave system in the world.
He is the great-grandson of pioneering science fiction author H.G. Wells.
The author lives in northwest Washington with his wife and his daughter. When he is not writing or with family, James can be found in the wilderness, climbing a mountain, or in a cave.
