Destiny Bay Romances-The Ranchers
Book 1-Native Silver-Shawnee Carrington comes home to help in her grandfather’s struggle to get his ranch back, but David Santiago’s seductive diversions foil her plans.
Book 2-Destiny Ranch-Carly Stevens returns to search out the truth in her past, but single father Joe Carrington’s tragic bitterness stands in her way.
Book 3- Sweet Desperado-Rancher Jessie Carrington goes after a sexy outlaw when she thinks the bounty might save her, but the fugitive turns the tables and captures her heart instead.
Most of the Destiny Bay Romances are focused on the beach town, but just a few miles inland there lies a valley–Destiny Valley–and the dusty little town of Destiny that forms the hub of cattle country, horse country, and the orchards. The Carringtons who live here are a different breed. They’re hard working people, people who have a love for the land–and a passion for those who mean the most to them.
#1- Native Silver-She wants his ranch–he wants her. When Shawnee Carrington returns home to help her grandfather win his fight to keep his land, she goes up against David Santiago, a man she’s hated and loved with equal passion for years. She’s determined to beat him, and win the horse show his sister always dominates as well, with the help of Native Silver, her beloved horse. But her plans will only work if no one realizes Native Silver is blind.
She desperately needs to find her father. He needs to make sure she can’t. Carly Stevens needs to fill in her past so that she can face her future. When she takes a job caring for Joe Carrington’s children, she steps into the middle of her own mystery–and into a struggle with an irresistible rancher who’s own heartbreak has destroyed his trust in love.
She’s hanging on for the reward money—but can she last that long?
Jessie Carrington is a rancher and that’s all she’s ever wanted to be, but when she gets a chance to play bounty hunter, she takes it. She needs the money badly. But once she id’s the fugitive, he turns the tables and now she’s the captive and on an emotional roller coaster ride as she falls for him, ruining all her plans.

About the Author:
Here’s my secret to a happy life: by hook or by crook, find some way to make your living doing something you love to do. Worked for me. I’ve always loved to read and I was always being told not to waste my time with my head in a book. So I found a way to make reading–“research, you know”–necessary to my line of work.
And there’s more to it than that. Travel. Gotta go. Gotta experience those settings and find out what really goes on in those exotic locales. Feel that ambiance! Lean back and watch the sunset with that tall, cool drink in your hand. Research. Aaaah!
Now when you write romances, people always ask about the…ahem…intimate stuff. Do you research that? And my answer is always–only with my adorable, supportive, loving husband. Another foundational requirement for happiness.
The kids began to arrive just about the same time I began selling to publishers, so I mostly carried a baby in one arm, a book in another. Then it was a baby in my lap, another climbing up my leg, and my free hand on the keyboard of a computer. By the time the fourth boy debuted, I had a rule that no one was allowed to bother me during writing time unless there was blood–a rule seldom honored, but at least I tried. And I was there to watch them grow. For me, that was another pillar of my happiness. At least most of the time.
All those years–all those books–all those children. The kids are launched, the years are happy memories, and the books–I’m working on them again!
The first publisher I sold to was Jove’s Second Chance at Love. Silhouette Desire came next, then Dell Candlelight Ecstasy, Loveswept, Harlequin, Zebra, Harper. Lately I’ve been writing for Harlequin Romance as Raye Morgan. So many fun books! I’ve picked out some of the best of them which I’m rewriting into a series called Destiny Bay following a family called the Carringtons. I haven’t been this excited for a long time–finding ways to adjust the characters into this new family, finding ties between them and emotions that just can’t be denied–everything feels so new again.
I hope you’ll give them a try–and that you’ll be happy you did!
