How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
Well, for one, I experience what I wrote. I cook I eat, I drink wine, I go to restaurants, bakeries, wine bars, cafes, speciality food shops, special wine tastings luncheons and dinners. I visit all my friends beautiful wine estates all over Italy and France, “what’s better than that?” Yes, I don’t write fiction and make up stories, or write from a distance giving my view-point on a subject, “I live everything I write from first hand experiences.”
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Just do it. If you’re a beginner and have any doubts about your writing ability, just do it. You have to do it and put the time in, and you will get better. Write essays, short stories, a book, just do. If it’s not good at first, you will eventually get there. You have to put the time in. The first few years is a learning process. Start a blog or two and just write about things you love, be happy and enjoy the process.
