Caught in a dangerous power struggle, Imogen Bell must give up the loveless lie she’s been living and face the secret of her past before a beautiful stranger’s quest for vengeance tears her heart and the rest of the world to pieces.
Imogen Bell should be happy. It’s been five years since she escaped her past and things are going well. She’s at university, she has friends, she’s sleeping with an excitingly inappropriate guy, and she’s even learned to control the voices in her head. It’s not saying much but her life is as far from falling apart as it’s ever been. Then the dream that haunted her childhood comes back — the one about the beautiful man with the golden eyes.
Dreaming about him again is bad enough but things get worse when she finds out he’s real. She tries to stay in control but as her dreams, her past, and her present collide in a storm of lust and intrigue she’s forced to face her insatiable desires for this dangerous stranger.
The golden-eyed man from her dreams is real. Imogen should know. She just made love to him. But the trouble with dreams made real is they have a habit of turning into nightmares when the sun comes up. It’s a new day and Imogen has to deal with the fallout from getting close to a man more powerful and dangerous than she can imagine. She’ll learn who he is but that means he can never let her go.
In the epic conclusion to the story of Imogen Bell and Henri Vauquelin, all is revealed and all is risked. Imogen must race against time to save herself, the world, and the damaged man she has fallen in love with. He’s set on a path of destruction and her only hope is to make him see that the love he thought lost forever is standing in front of him right now.
Lust and the Storm is a thrilling romance that smashes headlong into the limits of love, desire, faith, and sacrifice.

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
I write erotic romance and its a balancing act. I want the story to stand on its own but I also want to delve into the defining aspect of erotic romance that other genres don’t explore at length – sex. That said, this isn’t pure erotica and I’d like to think the sex in my books isn’t for its own sake. Instead, it serves the story and the characters; it’s emotional, it’s physical, and its even fantasy tinged but it’s never divorced from reality or the narrative.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
This is a brave new world. If you want to be a writer then all you have to do is write. There are so many avenues one can take to get one’s words out into the world. Ignore the gatekeepers, they stand in front of gates without walls. Go straight to your readers and give them a story you would love if it was told to you.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wanted to tell a story about the kind of love we all have inside us but few of us let out. Lust and the Storm is about an all-encompassing passion and the lengths to which we might go to protect it.
About the Author:
Sex and scandal; pain and pleasure; lust and love – it’s all there in the romantic suspense stories A.R. Valencia spins. She writes what thrills, weaving romance seamlessly with the intrigues of the world’s most powerful people as she presents these men and women at the cusp of achieving life’s greatest gift — enduring love. Her stories are a roller coaster ride, pulling us up to let us fall, and falling in love has never been more fun than it is in Valencia’s playful hands.
