About the Author
I began writing about Clancy Evans in 1992. She has become a close friend during that time. For most of my life I have written non-fiction work, chiefly essays. My avocation-goal was to write a novel. Since my favorite genre was mysteries, I believed that to be the natural way to go. Creating stories with believable characters is an enjoyable past-time for me. The truth is, when I am writing the story, clock-time is actually meaningless. I completely lose myself in the story as it unfolds before me. As I write, I can actually see the events of which I write. Writing is really therapeutic for me. I have been fortunate enough to share my life with my wife Cindy. Together we have three children who are all married. We also have three grandchildren. We also share our world with dog named Sophie. I was born in Mississippi and spent my life moving about the South — Tennessee, North Carolina, and Missouri. After marriage, Cindy and I have lived in Virginia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and again North Carolina. I have no shortage of hobbies and interests too numerous to name. Life is enjoyable as well as challenging. And, writing stories about Clancy makes it even more so.
